i feel the opposite, as someone who’s been drawing seriously since a young age I despise women who have a hobby interest in art because they always use the label of “artist” as a way to parade around their narcy desire to feel unique even though 9/10 times they absolutely suck

For me it’s music, I always had crushes on singers. Because voice is extremely important for a girl and usually singers are good looking with good forwards growth.

Yeah a common tale. That’s how it is for most women. It makes sense though. Good art requires a depth of emotion and understanding of the world that is simply absent for the majority of women. Usually requiring a great deal of suffering or a peculiar temperament. Modern women don’t suffer much and women in general are less variable and less likely to have the extreme or odd dispositions that lead one to novel artistic expression.

For most women art is relegated to the position most things are, a tool to appease their vanity.

Yeah getting good at art also requires a lot of hard and boring work. A lot of women want to be artists because they think you just sit down and pour your heart out and a pretty picture materializes and everyone applauds and they quickly realize that translating a coherent image out of (what for them usually is) a vague feeling is not as simple as it seems. Painting a picture is exhausting and tedious work. The process of creating art is not even really all that fun. Or rather it’s fun in the way doing math is fun. You have to have the type of brain that enjoys solving visual problems and spending a lot of time alone. Most women sit down and realize that the pretty picture doesn’t just appear the way they thought it would but by then they’ve already felt the rush of validation of calling themselves an “artist” so now it’s too late to go back.
