Why is chewing not encouraged?

People often discourage the idea of hard chewing. The idea of hard chewing has been around for a while (mastic gum, those tiktok ‘jaw trainers’). Why do people not follow this idea?

This hard chewing will affect bones in the face (maxilla, mandible) then mechanical force would be placed on these bones through the hard chewing and lead to potential increases in bone-mass. I don’t see why this wouldn’t work?

Plus the hypertrophy of the masseters wouldn’t look bad in most cases?

about masseter hypertrophy
when i notice men with 'abnormally' large masseters irl, it doesnt make them look considerably better or worse , at least in my opinion
to me it just a slightly unusual feature that stands out

Hard chewing will only increase bonemass if you are below 18 and you overdose vitamin k along with calcium.

I just turned 16 and i’m taking vitamin D, K2, calcium, collagen and creatine 🥺

Yh take vitamin k2 with calcium in a good amount I.e overdose .
And chew hard for like 3 hours daily .

You will 100 pervent get results in bonemass in a year .
Even though you might look bloated with all that muscles in jaw , but you can debloat and notice a new bonestructure in your jaw .

There are plenty of medical studies that say that chewing tough food move the maxilla upward and forward, shortening it and growing the mandible in a vertical direction making it more robust and bigger. You only get Down Growth when you don’t chew enough or have weak Masseter and Temporalis muscle because then nothing will hold you’re maxilla up. Just look up some studies bro.

i currently have a mouth device (BRA) for tmdj because i was chewing too hard and it made me grind my teeth in my sleep and reaaaaallly fucked up my jaw joint

i don't know, everyone has different opinion on this subject.
me personally i look at how our ancestors lived. they had to hunt food and most of their diet consisted of meat, which indicates that they had to chew a lot and btw they had mogger skulls and all teeth straight.
what i concluded is that if you grow up getting used to chewing hard food, tmj and shit like that won't mess you up but when you eat soy and porridge your whole life, suddenly chewing hard food indeed will get your tmj worse because you are not used to it. i still stand with chewing hard food as intended.
 
Retards thinking that their masseters will become gynormous while 90% of it is just genetics. Extremely important to strengthen the jaw to get adequate bone (especially maxilla width and projection) development during puberty. Even after puberty, it can increase bigonial width if you have a lacking lower third. Just dont abuse of it and get tmj for the rest of your life like a retard, 30 min every 2 days is enough stimulus for hypertrophy and adequate recovery.

You will be surprised when you know that lack of chewing causes tmj problems and when you suddenly start chewing aggressively and tough you get tmj problems because your jaw is not used to chewing tough food. You have to start slowly and then level up. Our ancestors chewed raw meat and tough food for 7-8 hours a day and never had this problem. There are also plenty of medical studies that support this. Our jaws are made to chew really tough food. Industrial revolution fucked our faces because of soft food and lack of chewing.
 
Because it will have little to no impact. Your masseter size is dictated by your facial structure aka genetics. Think of it like muscle insertions, your masseters can only get as big as their insertion is on your face. The size and shape of this insertion is dictated by skeletal structure. People who have large masseters and a broad jaw are like this not because they chewed a lot, because they were born like this lmao. Same way that if you have inward gonions/generally narrow jaw structure, chewing a shit ton won't change your jaw/masseters by a milimeter.

Should I chew with my molars, premolars or incisors?

i eat red meat all the time. i eat steak and burgers (medium rare) but they aren’t typically very hard to eat. i usually finish them pretty quickly. do i get special gum? is that worse? idk
