why is getting surgery frowned upon?

i told my school friend i planned on getting surgery in the future and he looked at me like i killed someone

i feel like even normies think about changing their faces so i dont get the big deal

Had similar experiences. It’s because they’re blue pilled. They think looks genuinely don’t matter and probably imagine shitty plastic surgery when you tell them. It also shows your insecurity, so I’ve learned it’s best not to boast about it.
