Why is it bad to use a MSE to keep wisdom teeth?

If you don't have space for wisdom teeth your palate obviously must be somewhat narrow in a way, so why can't you just expand the palate a bit more to create space for them (assuming sutures are still open) and instead orthos just say you have to extract them?

Don't 90% of people have narrow palates nowadays anyway?
