I just dont agree with this concept. Intelligence is something that had to be evolved and improved upon over countless generations of humanity. Theres no reason to believe that brains are all blank slates that are purely formed by experiences.
Just like, if we plucked a neantherthal newborn out of a time machine and placed him into a modern family and a modern schooling system, I wouldnt expect them to be able to keep up at all.
Given this, why would a completely different race of humanity, continents away, that look completely different, act different, as you say have different physical traits, then still be assumed to perform just the same mentally if placed into an alien society?

Intelligence isn't a pure blank slate and human brains have evolved over time, it's been evolving from before we were even apes. Therefore, it's possible for different isolated human groups to be at, or have evolved into, different stages of intelligence. Therefore, you can in fact argue that certain human sub-races in today's world have different average intellectual bases. An extreme example that I brought up, was that if you took abos from the outback and placed them into wealthy european upbringings (lets even say its some magical scenario where they look like euros and just retain their brains so they dont get discriminated against due to looks) I would easily predict that they would perform significantly below average in any intellectual endeavour.
