Why is it so hard for some people to have a strong hand grip?

You see gymcels getting up to 3 or 4 plates like water.

But when it comes to grip grandpa doesn't exercise nor workout and has crushing grip.

How the fuck does this make sense?

Why can zoomers hit 3 plates yet their dad or grandpa can cuck their hand grip?

The dad or grandpa that doesn't even fucking workout and drinks beer all day, mind you.

How does this make sense? Why is this?

Lifting weights doesn’t train your grip that’s why.

I spared against a dude who was on the national team for a country for sambo and this guy is 6’3 190 extremely skinny essentially and his grip is stronger than heavyweights who weigh 250-300

If he grabs you your not escaping.

Can confirm. Got into a fight and I dragged the other guy along with me as I fell because of the rain, due to my grip strength. I was skinnier than him too. 65kg vs 90kg.

It’s because your grip strength is correlated to your testosterone levels.

Most older men over 40 have way lower testosterone though in U.S.A., so that wouldn't make sense regarding their grip.

I used to rope climb bared-handed every single day, no legs, up to 15 feet high at nearly 200 lbs. bodyweight.

Still had a weak or barely even grip compared to big-handed guys who didn't even train & weighed 50 lbs. less.

Exercise doesn't make you strong it only makes you STRONGER. I worked out & was owned by skinny crackhead-tier dudes.

No limp-wristed, bird-boned bitch is going to transform in to the Hulk in all fronts because he goes to the gym nonstop.

Rock climbing trains crushing grip strength if I recall there’s different types of grip strength.

Rope climbing doesn’t train the same as rock climbing it’s essentially the same as pull ups chin ups etc.

Nearly all free weight training involves static hand grip, so how does it NOT train grip? That makes zero fucking sense.

Just static weights doesn’t change the others.

You're an intersex, acromegaly freak, bro. Don't compare yourself to beings of merciful superiority like myself.

Lol yeah it does grip was the main limiting factor in dumbell rows for me and now its strong enough to dumbell row 70kg for 15 reps without getting tired. Problem is people use straps and/or light weight.

Doing one handed kettlebell swings are also great for grip if you work up to a heavy weight like 40kg or so because u are having to grip while controlling the swing.

The problem is shaking a hand introduces a new dynamic.

It's not grabbing something heavy but something that you need to grasp & that grabs back.

It isn't a fair comparison squeezing a fixed-size gripper, dead weights, etc. vs. squeezing a hand, which can be bigger/odd sized.

Maybe if you practice squeezing BBCs it might make your grip more transferrable to human hands?

I should have clarified not to the extent of actual direct training or how it translates in an actual situation athleticism wise.

I’ve gone against countless guys who are also huge because I’m a heavyweight the 200-285 weight class in my sport and almost none of them had a grip like the guy I mentioned earlier. Even my coach said he had top tier grappling wrist strength.

He had that grip due to direct training and constant indirect isometric training by gripping the gi in sambo and judo for hours for years.

He might of just naturally been strong like that aswell though. Some people are like that they can be tiny and rly skinny but its like they have this natural ligament or tendon strength that most don't have. Anybody who's played a physical sport like any combat sport, rugby, american football has met ppl like this.

I know what you mean but no that’s also not the case he directly trained it he even was telling everyone in the room how to train their grips properly.

He reached a very high level of grappling he was on the national team and at that level everyone trains with methods like that which is sports specific.

No there’s static, pinching, crushing that you have to train in different ways
I'm saying rock climbing is not crushing, or 99% of the time not. I've been climbing for 20 years.

Crushing is when you're squeezing something against your palm, which is rare in rock climbing.

What’s the best way to test if you have strong grip? Dynamometer?
