Why is it so hard to stay up now

When I was 15 I literally stayed up for almost 48 hours, went to school, and I could still play a full match of soccer in gym.
But now I'm 22 and I haven't even stayed up 24 hours yet, and I'm already feeling like I'm gonna fall asleep
