why is my sleep so shit?

I never feel well rested and energetic. I could sleep 10 hours or more and still feel tired when I wake up. I have to force myself out of bed or I would lay there all day. Then I feel like dogshit and just sit around and drink coffee while I feel very tired and low energy. Then it takes hours until I actually feel awake (if at all), and I never feel like I have enough energy for anything.

And that's on free days/weekends. Outside of that I sleep like 5 hours and feel like I want to die.
 
try staying in the bed all day

You need a consistent sleep schedule and to exercise and eat a good diet and see sunlight with in 30-60min of waking up etc

Check your hormones and get a sleep study done. Take melatonin. It helped me greatly especially when stressing over exams.

Melatonin suppresses peuberty it also only helps u fall asleep not stay asleep, some ppl take it n get a false sense of security they actually get shitty non rem inttruoted sleep

Oh shit really ? I need to stop taking that then. What about MK-677? I’ve heard that’s good for sleep
 
Are you a gymcel? If yes the obvious reason is that your body is in recovery, you will always feel tired if you work out constantly. Also reliance on caffeine is horrible, not always about how long you sleep but also sleep quality - deep sleep is ideal.

How to get quality sleep?
Room temp needs to ensure your body’s not working. For the example, too cold body is shivering to stay warm, too hot
body is sweating to stay cool - u can’t enter deep sleep
Healthy diet - easy digestion
Dark room
Fresh air
Comfortable bed
No alarms - sleep/wake when ur body feels like it

Get sun, specifically close to/at sunrise, and close to/at sunset, minimize blue light or at least brightness from screens after sunset, there are apps and software to reduce blue light, the feature might even be in settings on phones.

The sunlight and minimal light/blue light after sunset, has to do with circadian rhythm, your body's natural clock, pretty much. There's more you could do, but this is pretty integral for good sleep and ultimately, good health, from everything I've heard/read and somewhat experienced.
