Because nobody can afford to take care of kids. By the time you reach an educational level where you can afford it, you’re much older than that.

Also women want to fuck around with tons of men until they’re like 35, regardless of whether they say they wants a family or not. So this affects it as well.

It’s in a woman’s best interest to settle down early (despite not wanting to), and it’s in a man’s best interest to settle down late( 30+) because he’ll have his financials and career established, so a divorce of financial termoil with the relationship won’t nuke his entire life and drive him to commit murder suicide.
