I have seen a few posts of people denigrating others attempting to looksmax. They typically bring up the fact that average people don't need to do anything to get a relationship outside of showering. I would like to lay a moral case for looksmaxing.
We are all the descendants of people that have overcome competition. It all started with our last common ancestor with chimpanzees that had to learn to walk and throw rocks to protect themselves. If ancient chimpanzees had the power to formulate opinions and thoughts, I am sure the majority would look at the very first few generations of our ancestors as genetic failures attempting to learn to adapt to a new environment they were never meant to be in. Just look at how awkward it is for a chimpanzee to walk and throw rocks. Yet, those early generations overtime superseded all living things to ever walk planet earth. Those awkward barbaric chimpanzees learned to build space shuttles, cure plagues, build electronics, etc.
When Germany lost World War I, its economy was completely shattered and the image of germans around the world was portrayed as backward, poor, and impotent losers. However, with hard work, they were able to rebuild the economy and created the most fearsome empire to ever attempt to conquer the world. Despite losing the war, committing unspeakable atrocities against their own, and being subjected to decades of negative historical presentation, they are still admired.
Similarly, Japan was superseded by the United States technologically and scientifically that ended up in nuclear weapons wiping out every shred of dignity the Japanese people had. They were put in concentration camps, were constantly humiliated, and native Japanse people had to start from absolutely nothing with a negative worldwide image they had to deal with. But they persevered; they set up tables and chairs and had their youth start learning their A, B, and C's. Today, Japan is the golden standard by which every society compares itself to. They are a renowned hub of scientific advancements and human decency.
Brothers, let us put aside those trivial differences of race, age, ethnicity, country of origin that have shattered us. We will work hard, study, achieve, and be a bastion of morality to all the others.
When you feel defeated and embarrassed every time you go to the gym with your horrible frame, swallow your beta carotenoid/astaxanthin in hopes of improving your complexion, or go on a strict diet in hopes of losing weight and looking better, I want you to remember that you are that awkward chimpanzee that is trying to learn to walk and adapt to its new environment. You are that defeated German trying to rebuild his broken country. You are that humiliated Jap trying to give a better life to his child. Never give up.
