In the modern era, we see a profound degradation of discourse. Thoughtful, meaningful ideas are ignored while trivial, mindless content thrives. This isn't simply human nature, it's the result of a system that prioritizes instant gratification over depth, distraction over reflection. The algorithms, social norms, and culture of modern platforms reward shallow engagement. People are drawn to what is easy, entertaining, or sensational. Complex or challenging ideas are ignored, not because they lack value, but because they require effort. The system thrives when we consume without thinking, keeping us passive and compliant. But this trend reflects something deeper, a loss of autonomy. When meaningful thought is sidelined, we lose the ability to shape our own perspectives. The system robs us of critical thinking and replaces it with a feedback loop of mediocrity. This pattern isn't inevitable, it's engineered. It's a symptom of a society that prioritizes distraction over genuine human connection. If we are to reclaim our minds, we must reject the forces that push us toward mindlessness and actively choose to engage with ideas that matter.

TLDR: People engage with shallow content because it's easy and entertaining, while thoughtful ideas are ignored since they require effort.

Tbh, many of the stuff have been covered, there are still some late threads that are actually helpful and the one who does them is a high iq.

You'll need to discover something new basically.
