Because you don't have any actual motivators in life, so there is nothing to stimulate you, meaning you need to resort to drugs in order to get the feeling humans naturally get when they are in a community (natural habitat).

Social atomization and alienation...

I just fucking relapsed on the cigs today and it was rough, worst trout hits ever. I honestly hate this shit threw out my pack and lighter immediately it’s like my body instantly rejected it.

Well, for you, cigarettes are a cope, I guess. Different people have different copes, but it's always better to have copes that aren't psychoactive and don't significantly influence pathways in the brain. That way it's easier to manage and control these copes and prevent them from taking over your life.

My copes are steroids and porn, and these 2 things can't re-wire the brain to the point where I become no longer able to control them.

I also have some schizoid fantasies, which is hard to control, but it's not a big deal, I mean, it's not something that causes distress and social dysfunction.
