Why normies hate looksmaxxing

I think looksmaxxing bothers people on some primal level.

The praxis of looksmaxxing is a bunch of nerdy guys improving their station in life and climbing the totem pole of SMV in a clinical and mechanical way - like minmaxxing in a video game but for looks.

We aren't accepting our lot in life, we're supposed to be anonymous minions begging for a crumb of pussy in transactional relationships, but we're not. It's this that truly pisses people off.

It's like the same primal anger normies have to oldcels that geomax to SEA and dangle money/greencards to gain access to 20some year old women, they aren't following the script. They script says they're supposed to be invisible minions in the west getting taxed at 50% and being quiet about their wants in life.

Same with us, frankly, we're nerds, we aren't supposed to have a wide array of dating options, but we've gamed the system and that pisses people off in a way they can't articulate.

That's part of it, the other major reason I think normies hate it is because it exposes their own hand in the dating world. Dudes who are average or below average that have girlfriends are the main group of men who hate on looks theory and the blackpill. Because if they acknowledge that genuine primal physical attraction is the main motivator and ingredient in a healthy romantic relationship then it just shows that they simped their way into pussy. If they acknowledge looks theory and the blackpill then they can't help to see themselves as simps who are constantly vulnerable in that relationship. Because if you're an average or below average dude you had to work on yourself just to be considered by an average woman who doesn't have to work on herself. And she has more power in that relationship.

I have this one friend who would be used as an example for the "I seen an ugly guy with a hot girlfriend" crowd. Ugly dude who pursued this cutie in our school. Faced rejection multiple times but eventually did get with her. He would help her and her family, he would take her out and buy her gifts. She then left him to have an online relationship with her ex who lived in another city, my friend eventually managed to get her back. During the years they were together she would constantly cheat and leave him, and it was a pattern. Happened so many times and it was really messing with my friend's mind and his friendships. They eventually broke up for good. But that's the love life of an average dude, his good will and gifts couldn't ensure him a healthy relationship. He had no real negotiating power. Why? Because he wasn't good looking enough. And these normie men don't want to admit they're always on the cutting board when it comes to relationships.

I don't know if he can be saved looks wise, he has some major flaws, I don't know if surgery can fix all his flaws. That relationship made him lose a lot of respect from his friends and family. He has a lot of issues with his family that largely come from that relationship. On top of that the trauma from that relationship seemed to regress him mentally.

I think you're onto something called the sunk cost fallacy. You'd assume that if you are simping / betabuxxing as an average guy for a woman to be in a relationship with you, and you're getting mistreated that it would make you more likely to accept lookism. However, it does the opposite since they've invested so much time and resources into that relationship they really, really don't want to admit we're right. It has to come to a head, cheating, divorce, some major drag out argument before they come to their senses.

He's kind hearted but he's so bluepilled. I've been thinking about making a post about his life and all the relationships he's been in and using him as an example to teach the young guys on this forum some lessons. looksmaxxing is only the beginning of a larger process of a men(and civilization) waking up and realizing why previous civilization made designated roles for men and women. And why we used to have clear gender roles and expectations.

I honestly think if social media didn’t exist, we could have probably evolved our way out of these gender roles but that didn’t happen.
