Why people feel like manlets despite not being ones

People forget that u actually have a shit tons of height above your eye level. I have 180cm barbell in house, i picked it and i put one end on the ground and other next to my face standing. Im 187cm and i thought holy fuck, its almost as tall as me, i thought that 180cm is shorter. But then i've checked with my hand how much height i have from the top of the barbell, to my top of my head. And those 7cm found out to be alot.

When i looked at the 180cm barbell and i imagined thats a dude of that height. I wouldnt feel like im taller than him. But, then i've added those 7cm and if guy would be that height, i would feel like hes taller than me.

I'm 180cm/5'11 myself and although I will never be seen as tall (with the exception of maybe in Asia and some other continents/regions outside of Europe), it doesn't make me short either.

Truly short/manlet-tier = 5'8/172cm and anything below that.

But I do think that the ideal male height is 6'2/188cm.

Truly short/manlet-tier = 5'8/172cm and anything below that.

But I do think that the ideal male height is 6'2/188cm.
