Because deeper stuff is often related to problems and people dont wanna talk abt their problems. Another reason is they are worried abt their present life and not hypothetical question, most philosophers who thought 24/7 abt deep stuff were giga incels so i guess people that dont really have an active life have more time to think about more distanced problems/topics
