Why pugs are an extension of human cruelty.

Pugs would've most likely either parish from natural selection or stayed a niche species within Asia but ever since they were discovered in ancient china over 2000 years ago being bred for the royal family and then to the English, we made their existence entirely dependent on US. We stopped natural selection from letting these recessive creatures fade out just because they fit some morbid standard of cute. To keep the traits of these dogs to match those standards, they inbred them to all share the same traits only for those traits to ruin them(Hip dysplasia, cancer, obesity and brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome). They've been inbred so much they match a COI(coefficient of inbreeding) of 40-45%. By the way that's a higher inbreeding coefficient than the Ptolemy dynasty which averaged at 0.2656(26%) and the Hapsburg family with Maria Antonia of Austria reaching 30%, families both notorious for inbreeding. A study in 2022 by the Royal Veterinary College stated that the genetic pool of pugs is so terrible that they cant be considered a typical dog and that their biology is only unique to their population. From the moment they are born, they need us humans as most pugs cannot give birth without a C-section. Across the US, UK, and Europe, women make up most of the pug owner demographic. Foids only keep these recessive species alive just for the sake of being "cute", if they all collectively decide pugs are no longer cute and stop breeding them; they would be extinct within 2 generations. The human species itself killed off dodo birds for sport and brought back dire wolves but we continue to constantly torture pugs from the very beginning they are born because they fit an aesthetic.
