Just look at this as an example. Jordan Barrett has the same midface ratio (1.07) in both pics, yet the wider cheekbones and lower ES Ratio, combined with the bloat make him look short faced in comparison to the other pic (0.43 ES Ratio vs 0.47 ES Ratio):

I think it's mostly because he has a tall nose bridge and a narrow nose that fits in between his intercathal distance (which gives the impression of a longer midface and better eye separation), in addition of very long, dense eyebrows and eyelashes, which also help in perceiving the eyes as longer than they actually are.

I think you meant "impression of a shorter midface". Yeah i do think that as well. The pfl is something i thought already, longer pfls give the impression of shorter faces. I dont know about a tall nose bridge, do you mean where is the glabela? The narrow alar base also seems to help making the eyes more apart.
