Ok this should be water

But let me get started to help present logic to the people that think superman would get beaten

Power scaling

Superman, Has moved planets, held black holes in his hands, and wrestled with gods like Darkseid. Depending on the version (especially Post-Crisis, New 52, or Rebirth), his strength easily reaches planetary to universal levels.

Omni-Man, he destroys planets over time, but we never see him destroy a planet instantly. He wiped out the Guardians of the Globe and conquered weak civilizations, but nothing close to planetary busting in a single move.

Homelander, He’s essentially a militarized Superman knockoff, but much weaker. He struggles with people who use guns and can be physically matched by characters like Soldier Boy or Queen Maeve. Not even close.

Now in general

Superman is stronger than characters like Omni-Man and Homelander because of how he’s written both in terms of in-universe lore and out-of-universe narrative intent

They are all parodies of superman missing aspects

Superman is a supercharged alien capable of literally outrunning death itself

Not only that but he literally metabolites solar energy to limitless amounts based on his exposure

I don’t think James Gunn was really trying to convey him as you put it an “aura farmer” lol, he was trying to make him a symbol of hope and goodwill really, did you like the movie or not?
