God is a man made construct to aid those in need of comfort from the  unknown which is death. Death itself isn't something we can comprehend because it's literally nothingness so the idea of needing comfort for that is stupid. Now, the process leading up to death can be scary but if it's naturally occurring then maybe not as bad and maybe just like falling as sleep if you are really tired or something (I don't know for sure but just hoping that's the case if its naturally occurring death).
