why tf do i keep biting my cheek

since ive got so called “buttons” to fix the rest of my overbite i cant mew anymore. i keep biting on my cheek and its gotten so worse that it bleed. idfk why cause before i got them i could mew perfectly fine has anyone else had this problem when they had braces or “buttons” ?

idfk my orthodontist called them
buttons. its these things where u put those rubberbands on that pull ur lower teeth to the front. u know what i mean ? and they only get pulled to the front and not the side

I used to get this and have scarring on the inner of my cheek from when I had braces. I haven't worn my retainer for 2 years

nah i have a pretty ok palate i would say and a week ago i had no problem to do it.
