You've probably heard it. "Give a man a fish, he eats a day. Teach him how to fish, he eats for life."
Here's why this saying is not only utterly stupid, but how it can't practically work in reality:
1. Everyone cannot fish:
Some people are born with mobility issues, physical limitation issues, etc. Saying "teach everyone to fish" implies the false impression people have on reality that anyone at anytime can just learn/do anything. For those who somehow cannot fish, what then is the solution according to this analogy? Drown them & then fuck their dead corpse for some fun, eh?
2. Everyone doesn't live in the right place to catch enough fish:
This is the main flaw in this idea. Maybe if fish were fished out of the fucking sky could this make sense, but not everyone lives where there is an abundance of fish. Using this analogy toward capitalism, not everyone has the capacity of finding a job. Everyone cannot work. And even if everyone could work, the majority would not manage on any simple job they can get. The pay won't cut it. Flipping the analogy backwards, you can teach someone to fish, but will there be enough fish to be caught by them for sustenance and to live on? Or are you teaching someone to fish to find the bleak reality that where they live & due to resources/limitations on Earth they cannot ever live solely on the available fish to them. Again, fish do not exist everywhere the same for all. No matter how good you can fish, location/availability plays a much more dramatic role. You can operate a rod (what moron can't learn to fish in 10 minutes?) but that's not the issue -- the issue is people want to pretend there're no issues in the world & turn their cheek on ppl as "lazy" when that's not the truth. The truth is some people are going to get fucked no matter what & you shouldn't say "it's their fault" 100%.
3. There aren't enough fish in the world for everyone if everyone is always catching them:
Another major flaw that mirrors Jewpitalism -- "Have everyone learn to do 'X' then all make 'Y'" In reality the world doesn't have enough money for everyone -- especially not countries like U.S.A. where 90% of wealth is controlled by like 0.05% of people. You will teach a nigga to fish so he can catch a guppy every week. Is that worth it or even sustainable? It's like teaching a man to beg so he can get change. This does not "save him" nor change the course of his life because you taught him something from which in OPTIMAL CONDITIONS ALL THROUGHOUT can result in him achieving a favorable outcome. In reality you can only do as good as what's available -- so you cannot "learn to fish" & have everyone catch an equal number of fish. Fish do not spawn -- this isn't a video game. You don't sit on a bridge, ledge, etc. & there are fish swimming around everyone you go, for everyone trying to fish. This retarded idea is a major design flaw of capitalism people fail to see between the lines -- the false projection or idea that everyone can "make it" if they just do something. In reality, many fail even despite trying everything. So if everyone is told to do the same thing, common sense tells us everyone can't do it. It's a variable "market" -- so you aren't capable of ensuring everyone can get a job that will suffice even with trying. The system is not designed to have a living wage job for everyone waiting & you "just try" -- not at all. So telling someone to just "learn to fish" is analogous to saying to someone "just be 100% successful." What about help a man live than hypotheticals?
4. If you gave a man a fish you'd actually give a fuck about & would show you aren't stupid
Instead of being a stupid prick who expects everyone to somehow become financially successful, give a hungry nigga an extra fish if you can spare one. How is this bad? The analogy is that you SHOULD NOT give your fellow man a fish because "he eats for a day." The flaw is, many fisherman FISH DAY BY DAY & will HOPE there are fish the next day. But nobody guarantees fish reserves for the hungry. So if you actually were to give a motherfucker a fish if you can spare one, you're doing far better than handing him a goddamn rod & telling him to magically reel non-existing fish in, aren't ya? It's like a person refusing to give 2 bucks to some homeless nigga because "he can get a job." If this motherfucker could in fact GET A JOB then he would not be asking you for change, stupid -- he'd be fucking working. He is NOT capable of holding a job or else he would be. Flipping the analogy again, if a motherfucker had a rod and could fish and catch an endless supply of fish, no, you would not need to give him any & he probably would not ask for some. But in reality many cases exist in the natural world & systems we live under in which EVERYONE CANNOT ALWAYS ACCESS FISH EVEN IF YOU TEACH THEM HOW TO FISH. So it's actually very stupid to hand someone a rod and tell them to fish with no fish available than to just hand over a little fucking fish. But people are retarded apparently & want magic to exist, rather than accepting the fact that -- in the real world -- even with the right tools you will fail without the right overall conditions THROUGHOUT working for you. For example, you can teach someone a skill, but if nobody is hiring or any jobs hiring for such still do not pay a living wage, then you will work & still likely fall short of getting by even despite having a job. Much to the mirrored analogy you can hand someone a fishing rod & tell them "to go fish" & they can sit out there all day & not catch enough fish to get by either. In summary, this isn't a fairy tale story -- it's systematic reality. Abundance & resources do not wait nor exist for all. Nothing is "saved" for you in capitalism -- it's just there, & if someone gets it first, you're fucked. There is no "fallback" system -- no support system. It's either be the winner by sheer luck, or be blamed for losing even when you had no chance of winning.
