ITT, list reasons for being recessed.
I'll start:
- Mouthbreathing
- Genetics
- Lack of chewing
-Hormones?
- Being a subhuman

all, particularly genetics and hormones.

forget mouth breathing, it's generally a meme, genetics basically predetermine the velocity in which hormones affect craniofacial growth. Also, your cranium is developed in the womb, you can be born with a downward grown mandible and maxilla, even if you have perfect tongue posture, the only thing that it's going to do is prevent you from becoming more recessed. Again, the shape of your skull is the same from birth, albeit incorrect tongue posture and mouth breathing can cause recession, but that's beside the point, hormones will exert craniofacial cartilage-chondrocyte proliferation, differentiation, and hypertrophy, differentiation of chondrocytes eventually leads to the formation of bone from cartilage tissue, a cascade of hormones, genotypes, and morphogenic gene regulated proteins are involved in the upregulation of osteoblastic and osteoclastic activity, inducing ossification within the bone tissue cells.

regardless, hormonal profiles are around 85% genetic, it's all different for everybody, some may produce more aromatase enzyme than others, some may produce more 5-alpha reductase than others, some may have extremely sensitive Leydig cells, etc etc, the list goes on, again, genes regulate all of this.

so, in short words, you were born without a good forward grown craniofacial base, could be due to the lack of prenatal androgens, but it could also be due to genetics, look at your mother and father, do they have downward grown mandibles? recessed orbital rims? downward grown maxillas?

Good high IQ explanation so thanks for that. But what about the Mews successfully altering craniofacial structure through use of appliances and posture? And what about HGH and Roids altering face in adults?

I don't know much about orthotropic research to tell you the truth, from what I've gathered it's generally just a massive shill, giving false hope to recessed teenagers who think if they push their tongues into their narrow palate and that it'll turn them into a forward grown chad over the span of a couple months. I think it can prevent recession in young children, like very young children because their skulls are extremely malleable, but after a certain point, all sorts of gene and hormone-regulated processes begin to proliferate the cells in the bone and cartilage tissue, meaning the skull can no longer be reshaped but rather it just increases in size and small amounts of width and length, again both regulated by androgens, insulin growth like factors and a superfamily of bone morphogenic proteins and transforming growth factors (both of which are gene regulated). Retards will suggest that you can inject BMP-7, which is stupid because BMP-7 is apart of a group of genes/proteins called bone morphogenic proteins. IGF-1 majorly affects many bone and cartilage related functions, firstly, cartilage is basically the precursor to bone tissue, during childhood, an upregulation of GHRH produced by the hypothalamus signals the pituitary to release GH, GH then goes through a process within the liver and produces IGF-1, IGF-1 is one of the most potent growth factors, especially within bone and cartilage tissue, IGF-1 exerts an effect within the cartilage tissue via stimulating hypertrophy of the chondrocyte cells (an increase in size), proliferation of the chondrocytes (cell division) and eventually differentiation, once the chondrocytes have hypertrophied and proliferated enough, the cartilage than differentiates into bone tissue. IGF-1 also upregulates the osteoblastic and osteoclastic activity within the bone tissue, eventually leading to ossification, I could go on forever about the functions of IGF-1, but these are just the simple explanations, point is, you can inject growth hormone, and if your liver is still susceptible to the conversion of GH to IGF-1 than you could increase the proliferation and hypertrophy of EVERY cell within your body by 10fold or more, but it's pretty much over beyond a certain point of puberty.

Again, there could be a dozen factors to your 'recession', you could just be predisposed to downward grown facial features, or your mother could have had a low ratio of androgens prenatally, mewing isn't going to do shit to your face if it's already recessed, and definitely not past childhood.

what is oral posture going to do? What's the point? good oral posture isn't going to fix somebody's recessed bug eyes, nor is it going to increase the width and size of the mouth, nor is it going to decrease midface length, it isn't going to do shit.

all of it is cope, face-pulling, mewing, the whole lot.

Because god is a sadistic bastard

You're eternally doomed and suicide won't even fix you. You will witness Chad get all the pussy he wants while you rot forever and ever in despair, humiliation and intense agony and fright. You're fucked.
