People's individual ratings are normally distributed around the actual rating. So like for an actual 8, let's say like 68% of people will rate them 7.5-8.5, then 13% will rate 7-7.5 or 8.5-9, and then 2% 6.5-7 or 9-9.5, and then some small percent <6.5 and >9.5. And then I would define less than 6 as not attractive. So some very small percent of people find an 8 not attractive or not that attractive.

Some people may be more or less divisive than others with either tighter or wider distributions.

Being taller with longer limbs increases fighting success so muh lives longer when gets slaughtered is also a factor to keep in mind. Although this applies less in modern societies.
