It offers no short term reward. Most of the things you find fun offer an instant reward or gratification. Also it’s just asss

I never did homework and the times I did it was copied from someone else right before class. The punishments would usually be calling our parents when there was way to many missing homework’s.

Kids put too much pressure on themselves just to do some irrelevant homework that wont lead to nothing.

Dendritic cells are a type of immune cell that acts as a "sentinel" for the immune system, found in tissues like the skin and lungs. They are a critical link between innate and adaptive immunity because they capture antigens in peripheral tissues, migrate to lymph nodes, and present these antigens to T cells, thereby initiating and shaping an adaptive immune response. This process helps train the immune system to differentiate between foreign invaders and the body's own tissues, a function that is essential for both fighting off pathogens and maintaining immune tolerance.

Key functions
  • Antigen presentation: Dendritic cells are professional antigen-presenting cells (APCs) that are uniquely effective at presenting antigens to naive T cells, a function other APCs, like B cells, cannot perform.
  • Immune activation: By presenting antigens and providing co-stimulatory signals, they activate T cells and initiate both cellular and humoral immune responses.
  • Immune tolerance: They are also crucial for maintaining immune homeostasis and inducing tolerance to harmless substances like food antigens by not activating an immune response.
  • Bridging innate and adaptive immunity: They are a key link between the body's immediate, innate immune response and the slower, more specific adaptive immune response.

Locations
  • Tissues: They are found throughout the body in various tissues, acting as "sentinels" in the skin, lungs, and gut.
  • Lymphoid organs: After capturing antigens, they migrate to lymphoid organs such as lymph nodes to present those antigens to T cells.

Types
  • Conventional dendritic cells (cDCs): The most common type, with two subsets (DC1 and DC2).
  • Plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs): A subset of dendritic cells that are particularly important for antiviral immunity.
  • Langerhans cells (LCs): A type of dendritic cell found in the epidermis of the ski
