this is what being close to 10% looks like most of the day when you've got some amount of bloat from eating and drinking.

having bloat most of the day is relatively normal all body fat example pictures you're seeing on the internet are taken before they ate anything significant and dehydrated.

10% looks like 15% most of the day, 15% looks like 20%+

that's why it's so pointless to ask people on the internet for estimations, they've never even been 10% in the first place and have no idea what it looks like in reality most of the day, they're just looking at braindead graphs made by people who've never been at those levels either.

Idk I look the same throughout the day bodyfat wise only my stomach gets bigger because of food and gases. I think I even look leaner after I eat lots of carbs, but my diet is stable and I eat about 800 g of carbs a day either

You’re not bloated. You just have excess buccal fat. People really need to understand that buccal fat is resistant to fat loss.

So I have to remove it

Everyone is saying asian or steriods or no bones. Those could all play a role but NO ONE has mentioned his age?

It's common for people to have more buccal fat when they are below 25. Maybe he will always look like that and will need BFR surgery - but most likely it's just an age thing.

People are coping with no bones. There are recessed people who don't look bloated. It's always excess buccal fat.

Bones. This is why some people don't get anything out of being sub 15% and a few (not him) actually descend sub 15% due to their jaws.

I have the same problem, but I'm not asian or hapa. I actually look quite similar to this guy, round bloated face with absolutely no angularity, depth or definition. It makes me look 16 - 18 at 27.

For this guy I'd say it's a combination of chink genes (facial fat storage, buccal fat), round low set cheekbones, rounded mandible with inward gonions, thick ethnic skin, recessed maxilla and chin (typical for asians.)

I actually look younger when lean because my face stays just as round and featureless and I lose overall size which makes me look even more like a teenager. Now I'm at 20% bf with no plans of getting lean any time soon. I'd rather appear bigger and more intimidating because my face looks the same regardless.

I stand out in Croatia because men here generally have quite lean, angular and bony faces. I definitely have some unknown asian or gypsy genes giving me thick skin, buccal fat and round bones. Like many Asians, I'll look like a teenager until 35 - 40.

I know it's a blurry low res photo, but this asian guy is 45. Dude can pass for 25 - 30 easily.

Age has had no effect on my buccal fat. I'm 27 with the same chubby face I've always had, absolutely 0 volume loss anywhere on my face. I've been lean before and it did nothing for my cheeks.
It's a nasty combination of excess buccal fat, thick skin, recession, low set round cheekbones, rounded bones in general. People like me look 18 well into their 30s and it's not a good thing.

yes, roundedness makes you look young in a bad way. you want to be angular but have high levels of youth indicators like good skin and hair

There's absolutely nothing I can do. Buccal fat removal surgery would help, but only a little because the issue is not just the fat itself, but all the bones being rounded. Buccal fat removal helps with the lower cheek area, but it does nothing for the cheekbone, malar and zygo area. My cheekbones and zygos are round and low set which means I'll never have a lean angular face, it's just not possible.
I also have a small recessed chin. I'll eventually get buccal fat removal and chin augmentation, it will add a few years to my face, but nothing drastic.

I've accepted the fact that I'll look like a teenager until 40.

I believe you. That's probably just your genetics. I was trying to say no one should consider buccal fat removal untill they are well past the age of 25. Like the guy in the original picture.

Do you think skin laxity has anything to do with it? Like do you thing if your cheek skin was tighter it would improve it at all?

There is RF/Thermiage microneedling that has been shown to tighten skin. This would be the "easiest" fix for you if possible - you would still have to fix the other stuff eventually tho.

I don't think my skin is loose at all. If anything it's very thick and reasonably tight. I can pinch my cheeks, but it's all fat muscle and I can't pull and stretch my facial skin if you know what I mean.

I'm simply a victim of very bad bone development and facial fat storage, I just can't believe that a 27 year old "man" can look as young as 15 all because of recession and facial fat, but here I am.
It's a very specific combination of these two things that causes my baby face because not all chubby looking recessed men look young. I'm a one in a million case, it's literally millimeters of bone and soft tissue that make me look like a teenager.

My skin will eventually age and there will be some volume loss in my 30s, I'll probably look like a rough sleep deprived 18 year old when I'm 35 JFL, or a lesbian. I'm afraid of what the future holds for me.

I can't afford bimax and other complex jaw surgeries, only buccal fat removal, chin implant or genio. I don't think it will make much of a difference because my entire skull has a very specific juvenile shape similar to that 45 year old asian guy I posted earlier ITT, it can't be fixed.

das why i look 30% even though im 14% ? :feelswhy:😭😥
Not necessarily. Being boneless doesn't help, but there are a lot of literally boneless men with 0 fat on their face and I see it all the time.
It's 90% facial fat genetics. Still, I think everyone can have a lean face at low enough bf%, but for people like me it probably requires unsustainable body fat levels (below 8%.)
