If you are into fragrances and you pay a premium price for a designer fragrance; just why?
See, getting spotted with fake jewellery, fake luxury watches and designer clothes is an absolute embarrassment. Especially watch nerds like me for example can spot 90% of the fake Rolexes and Pateks out there. I’d personally walk on the other side of the road if I see you coming in front once I spot you as a fake rich.
Now despite all this wearing a perfume is a whole different story because you don’t go clubbing hanging the perfume bottle around your neck with a metal chain to flex. You spray the fragrance, the smell radiates and that’s it.
Oud for greatness by Initio is one of the popular designer fragrances at the price of whopping 299 dollars. A cheap clone version of this called “Oud for glory” by Lattaffa comes for around 25 dollars (yes it’s less than 1/10th of the original price no joke). You wear this shit, you get compliments just as much as the 300 dollar one. Considering you did buy the original, every time someone compliments, you saying “hey thanks for the compliment bro, wait wait don’t go yet, lemme show you the picture of the perfume bro, see bro it actually is 300 dollars bro. I hate dupes bro. I did spend 300 dollars from my grandma’s pension money bro. Thanks again for the complime- oh wait did I mention that this is the original 300 dollar one?” is corny af.
Now is the 300 dollar perfume better than the 25 dollar Arabic clone? Maybe. But is the 300 dollar perfume 10 times better than the 25 dollar clone for it to be that expensive? Absolutely not. Not many people have a trained nose to spot that one difference in scent note. That’s what I’m talking about. Rather than buying one designer fragrance, buy 5 reputable middle price ranged clones at the same price unless you just got money lying around everywhere and don’t know what to do with it.
