I don't how good okcupid is today, since they got bought out by same company that owns other major dating apps, bit someone obviously saved a blog

The founder used to write more of these kind of blog posts but they got deleted after he sold the company


The only time I would recommend you pay for it, if you regularly get matches and go on dates, otherwise you just throwing money away

true, but this is only the case if you're already doing well on them

Dating sites were entirely invented to be a cashgrab for lonely guys who couldn’t get girls in person. The appeal at first was that out of everyone in the world there’s bound to be someone for that lonely guy who struggles.

So both men and women who can’t get dates easily go there and there’s bound to be someone for them.. they can find each other. It was stigma’d to be for losers. But not only losers went on there. Guys who were successful with women who had no problem snagging a girl in person in the first 1 minute of talking to her would go on the sites and taking the girls from dating sites too. They’d even bang ugly girls on there too just to add to their total. Girls LOVE to be treated like a number no matter what they say comes out of their mouth.


Dating sites don’t “try to get you struggling guys a date.” All they do is provide you a place where guys and girls can meet and you both know you two, and all of you on there, are there to hook up or try to start a relationship. Just like a bar …. they provide you the place, but they do nothing to actually help you get a girl. At least bars put more effort with ladies nights.

Dating sites were mainly invented to empty out the wallets and max out the credit cards of lonely guys who have reached the bottom of their desperation pit that they are so desperate to dish out a certain amount of money a month for a gambled chance at a girl even replying to him.
No matter what you do in your profile… make a good and fun profile describing you, showing you’re fun, fill it with your best pictures and… even if you also…. look at every girl’s pic and profile and say something clever based on their profile bio letting her know you read it, unless you are a 10 out of 10 in the looks department the girl won’t even look at your bio or care for your subject header message anyways.
She won’t even see you’re a lawyer or that you do kickboxing because she won’t even bother to look at your profile to begin with.

And also the fact that they charge more to men for premium compared to women, and even if you pay, it still doesn't give you more chances because the men to women ratio on OLD is 9:1


I heard that Instagram is far more effective at hitting on girls, but then again you still need looks

I still preach that irl is better for men who are under HTN, even though rejection can be brutal, you still have a better shot at finding a gf that way
