This is the worst place to live if you don't have a gun, btw a normal person can't carry a gun (this is not the US). South America is probably the most insecure place to live on earth and specially countries like Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Brasil and Peru.
You can use the public transport and get robbed. You get robbed if you walk on any place of the city. You can get killed just because you didn't want to give them your phone. Thiefs will cut your arms if you wear a watch worth more than a 1000$. Small businesses will have to pay money to the mafia every month and if they refuse they get killed.
If you're white and you walk on the streets you will be approached by men trying to scam you or rob you in less than a minute. Never come to this shithole, latinas are also gold diggers don't believe them.
