Ik have An Overbite and ik don't know if my braces will demolish my jawline by moving my lowerjaw backwards to allaign my upper and lower teeth
I am currently 15 and will get my braces at 16

if you have an overbite it moves the lower jaw forward if your orthodontist said that your lower jaw will be moved backward you most likely have an underbite

Those braces are construced in a way where they will pull back on forward bent teeth in the upper jaw, and balance out the system by pushing on the lower jaw. Static mechanics but for looksmaxxing nigga. No good ortho will let anything recess, since even outside of looks, short jaws are shit for tongue posture, swallowing and chewing
 
honestly i think your bigger concern should be your maxilla, since he may install the braces in a way that pushes your midface back and causes recession, it's cheaper and easier for them, since they mostly only care about funcionality and not about your looks (i'm a 15yo grey incel, do your own research, don't trust me)

In case the teeth are bent forward, the braces will just adjust the angle by which they attach to the maxilla. Depending on the mechanics of the specific braces, that might even pull the lower maxilla forward, assuming the roots of the teeth are a somewhat stable bearing
