Will a FacePuller work if I have plates in my face?

I recently got Trimax, and while it improved my facial aesthetics from a 3 to a 5, the results weren’t perfect. I’m not upset, just curious—would the plates in my face prevent me from using a face puller effectively? Could the sutures still be influenced, or do the plates stop the maxilla and mandible from moving and developing properly, like in the GIF showing ideal growth? I was planning on using a face puller, along with chewing, ncr, and basically every method possible along with taking MK to pull and develop my maxilla forward even with these plates.

No.

Face pullers are effectively useless post 11-12 years old. No, they won’t achieve a full upswing of the entire maxilla - even in young children.

The changes are overwhelmingly dento-alveolar.

You’d likely need an expander to split the sutures - even after bimax.

And for what?

Jaw surgery already gave you the optimal occlusal plane and bite so it’s totally pointless in my opinion.

I'd be careful comparing photos with subtly different lighting , distances and angles or trusting Mew at face value.

Instead, I recommend going through Mew's youtube videos on early facemask intervention with young children and their results as adults. Each video is a different case study.

I think it demonstrates the limitations of this treatment beyond the jaws.

I'll leave one below. You can check out the rest on his channel:

Facemasks in children are great for jaw movements but not much else.
