Mostly, braces and palate expansion can help to align the teeth and widen the upper jaw. If you have a narrow maxilla, braces may make some difference in the middle face appearance, but they cannot significantly reduce the middle face or solve it completely.

expanding your palate can elongate your face even more if you're not using a facemask, see first picrel. If you are willing to try facepulling I'd just do that but be careful for TMJ. You can get similar results to jordan wood if do it right and get a CCW rotation.
