Theres no such thing as "next wave" ... there's individual clusters like cities and metro areas that exponetially increase in cases by a >1 Infection rate.
In the us,,, the first "wave" was just nyc metro area... and the "second wave" were other big cities. Nyc area stays flatlined
Once virus passes through a densely populated area.... cases usually permanently fall after reaching the 800-1500 deaths/ million.
But if an area has strict lockdown rules and/or is not so densely populated.. there will be multiple peaks n shit
