Will hair transplants ever be able to change hair texture?

Researching hair transplants, I noticed a donor follicle is taken and put on a hole poked through the receiving area, thus creating a new, functional follicle.

I started wondering: could an X hair texture donor follicle be taken and exchanged with the receiving Y hair texture follicle, thus altering the hair texture? Or anything similar to the same effect?

Would be a massive improvement for people who dislike their natural hair, of course.

Yeah there’s that chance. At least when organs are transplanted and rejected, there’s medication to stabilize and solidify the organism’s acceptance of the new organ, so maybe medication could solve it
