I'm 15 and have a flat maxilla. In June, I had my first orthodontist appointment to discuss braces. Later, in the fall, they removed four teeth—two from the top and two from the bottom. Then, they put in something to keep my upper teeth from shifting forward. I've read that if you have teeth removed, it can affect your facial structure if you get braces afterward. What should I do in this case?

If you've had your wisdom teeth removed then the game is over bro

bro i removed 4 teeth and it recessed my maxilla, but only after they gave me rubber bands becuase after removing my teeth bc fo "crowding" i was left with a gap and they filled in that gap by making my maxilla recessed, so now its flat. They shouuldve just given me a palate expander and told me to have good chewing habits bruh. now my maxilla is so much worse bro i hate it

U SHOULD NEVER AGREE TO EXTRACT TEETH UR MAXILA IS WELL PROJECTED AND THATS ONE OF UR BEST FEATURES NOW IT CAN ALL SHRINK BACK AND BE WAY WORSE THAN WHAT U STARTED WITH IT MIGHT BE OVER NOW CONSIDERING UR JAW WAS SLIGHTLY RECESSED BEFORE THE EXTRACTION
(teeth extraction without braces will ruin you even more try to get braces so that the shift is fast and you don’t lose as much bone mass)

oh you fucked up

no my tongue fit in there, I think its pre molaris what they removed
Tbh I’d say to let it go as there isn’t much to do hope for the best let me list what I think
1. Expander makes space but u
already made the space by removing teeth so expander is a no
2.braces would likely have minimal to no effect and considering the cost making it not worth it

I don’t think there’s anything reasonable u can do to save it right now Im 99% sure
(Correct me if I’m wrong but most def im right)

Final solution is: Don’t stress too much ur MTN and surgery/fillers if necessary will boost u to HTN easily

How long have you been training? What tips do you have that greatly contributed to your physique?
i have been training like 1,5 years. Just eat clean and like 20k steps a day. Failure every set

Id say its safest to go without braces as the force of the braces might cause asymmetry which u def don’t want just let ur body heal naturally make sure to train well and eat well so that healing is done in the most consistent way

My main concern about braces is that it will speed it up but can also make u more recessed and cause asymmetry due to the constant force which is often uneven which requires the monthly appointments at the dentist and a slight mistake can make change in the bone structure as there is actual empty space between BONE and rescission/assymetry due to low iq dentist is irreversible remember ur dealing with BONE here

so I suggest u stay away from braces

(As the braces is free the dentist will most likely choose the easiest way to fix issues just like he removed ur teeth(very low iq move) so if I were you I’d stay away from the braces and those public dentist)

Tell them if braces are not necessary you don’t want them if they then persists go for it i guess remember public dentist don’t give a fk abt ur looks they just have to do their job the fastest way same way they extracted teeth

Bro bad news
If u remove teeth it will definitely recess u and as ur already recessed you will most likely have to remove ur wisdom teeth later which will recess u even more shrinking ur maxila droping down u cheekbone fking up ur nose shape and canthal tilt will probably be affected too
