CURRENT STATS:

6’0 205
28-30% body fat

THE PLAN:
Maintenance is 2400

I will eat 1900 calories (-500) with 170 to 190 grams of protein

I will walk home from school, burning around 280 calories and I will also walk at the gym on an incline burning 400 calories

I will take Reta, starting at 1.5 first week and working up to 4 maximum

I plan to do this for two months, and my main goal is to lose as much body fat while keeping muscle

id say stay at your maintenance of 2400kcal keeping protein 1.2g/lbs of bw so since ur 205lbs have 200+ g of protein, and as you lose weight via caloric deficit through cardio means instead of actually cutting kcal via meals, your proportions for protein intake will gradually decrease, as long as you train hard staying at similar weights or even upping them even in small increments and you consistently hit your 10-20mins of incline cardio keeping higher water intake 2-3ltrs ideally (this is the natural route) since youre planning your do reta will probs be way easier due to blunting your appetite

I'm a PT and this honestly you mainly just need to focus on how much you lose p/week. You don't want to be losing over 1lb p/week. As annoying as it is, the slower you cut, the better you look and the more muscle/strength you retain. It also helps to make sure you avoid having loose skin and unfavourable stretch marks at the end of the cut.

The only way to lose weight is to burn more cals than what you consume, so being in a calorie deficit is the easiest and most effective way to do so. You should only be in a deficit of 100-200 calories. Obviously as your weight comes down, so will your calories but you can track that as you start to lose less weight on a weekly basis. Cardio is definitely important as well though. I'm a wrestler so when I cut weight for the sake of looking lean I typically just workout more as I'm just doing super high intensity cardio.

Fair but a long cut is gonna kill me since I’m gonna get weak for football season

Its easier to retain strength on a slow cut especially if you're lifting correctly. A faster cut would be much worse since your energy levels will tank due to lack on nutrients
