Most likely will hinder the ability of the creatine to retain water in the muscles

nah not really bro. diuretics might make you piss more and drop water weight faster but that doesn't mean they’re gonna just cancel out creatine like magic. creatine works by saturating your muscles with phosphate and pulling water into the muscle cells to help with performance, recovery, and size. now if you’re severely dehydrated from abusing diuretics, yeah, you might feel a bit off, your pumps might be flatter, and your strength could dip slightly just cause your overall hydration status is compromised. but like, that’s not the creatine not working. that’s just you being dry as hell and maybe not drinking enough water to compensate.
the creatine’s still doing its thing behind the scenes, loading up your muscles and keeping that ATP system primed for short bursts of high-intensity effort. it’s not like taking a diuretic is gonna flush creatine right out your system or make it magically ineffective, unless you’re on some crazy prescription-level diuretics and not eating or hydrating properly.
just don’t overthink it. keep your water intake solid, stay consistent with the creatine, and don’t be out here popping water pills every day like it’s candy unless you’re prepping for a stage or photoshoot or some aesthetic goal that needs you to be dry AF. for everyday training and real-world strength and size gains, you’ll be fine. just stay hydrated. creatine ain’t that fragile.
