Will training for strength but on size

If I just train in 3-6 rep ranges and eat 3k calories a day will I still build good muscle/ amazing strength compared to hypertrophy Training?
 
anything above 4 reps is good for hypertrophy (so 5+ reps)

Pretty bad unless you have good genetics. Good genetics would mean you're seeing your muscle measurements increase without gaining much fat while doing any type of training.

I did 5x5 for many years and saw no results from it in terms of muscle growth, it got me decently strong but nowhere in terms of size, so I made my own bodybuilding program with this info:

And from that, I made a lot more progress. I also finally managed to grow my arms past their limit with this info:

This is the program I'm using right now, it's my own program that I made based on the information I found and it works so well:

Upper 1

Dumbbell Bench Press: 3x6-10
Dumbbell Shoulder Press: 3x6-10
Lateral Raises 3x8-12
Overhead Tricep Extensions: 5x8-12
Bicep Curls: 5x8-12
Wrist Curls 1x8-12
Wrist Extensions 1x8-12

Lower

Goblet Squats 3x6-10
Romanian Deadlift: 3x6-10
Yates Rows: 3x6-10
Neck Curls: 3x15-20
Sit-Ups 3x8-12

Arm Day:

Overhead Tricep Extensions 5x8-12
Bicep Curls 5x8-12
Wrist Curls 1x8-12
Wrist Extensions 1x8-12



Week Setup (5 workout days, 2 rest days):

Day 1: Upper
Day 2: Lower
Day 3: Rest
Day 4: Upper
Day 5: Lower
Day 6: Arm Day
Day 7: Rest
…repeat


I made it like this because my home gym only has dumbbell handles, a barbell, an ez bar and plates. But if you have access to a real gym I'd add in the pec deck for your pecs, and most importantly, machine hack squats and leg press for your quads instead of goblet squats. Definitely don't do barbell back squats if you want big legs.

High volume is the most optimal way of building muscle that is visible and really growing your muscle measurements.
