Will tretinoin remove my dark spots acne and folds?(with pic)

One of the things I hate most are these light freckles or sunspots which just make my skin tone look very uneven especially in natural lighting ive heard tret can reduce/fix this is it true and will a dermatologist prescribe me it for these few reasons alone?
