Did anyone's face change after wisdom teeth grew in?
 
surgeon said ramus area changes (i dont exactly know what because he just pointed at it - might be genio angle as well but i doubt that), but people dont even realise it. After all the changes are small and if you have a bimax it shouldnt be an issue at all.

Everything improves. Just don't extract them, you will have a hard time breathing. Airways fucked up.

loss of bone support, slight clockwise rotation of bite gradually over the course of years. Small loss but still a net negative imo.
 
If your jaw is subhuman before wisdom teeth, it will remain that way. Same way if a Chad removes wisdom teeth he will still have a Chad jaw. Barely make any difference and you can always get bone grafts to compensate for any bone loss.

Does it only cause changes once it emerges or are the benefits just lost if the teeth are removed?

no if they‘ll get impacted if your palate/jaw isnt wide enough to have room for them
