nope braces expand your maxilla and push your jaw forward aswell

I think i should rephrase what I said. it's likely detrimental. at least in my experience.

Not always tbf. I had palate expansion with mine and expand and add implants which is beneficial to maxilla's position, Where as lazy orthodontists extract and retract which is faster,cheaper and easier but leaves you recessed. Thats at least with my experience
