i'd happily adopt a dog if i wasn't a brokecel, i have to spend most of my expenses on food for myself, so another $500 a month would take quite a toll lol.

i'll most likely adopt one next year - german shepherd i'm thinking. If raised well, in 2-3 years they'd be great friends to future children

I like both, but what pushes me to the dogs side is their intelligence and loyalty, if you've ever had a smart dog then you know that "mans best friend" is no understatement.. they're like the best friend you never had

But at the same time they require lots of trust building, care, going out and expensive food for good development.. in comparison cats are very low maintanance and know how to take care of themselves even from birth (somehow)

In short

If you're ready to commit to the pet - dog all the way

If you just want to chill - cats are way better.

Yeah everyone is different, i for example would prefer dogs because i have a lot of time to spare and would like a "companion" more than just a roommate that doesn't pay rent
