2-Oakland district attorney is a nigress who, of course is sympathetic to BLM and other social justice causes.
3-about a couple dozen people have shown up to protest the inevitable lenient sentence that will be given to them
District attorneys have significant decision-making power and the decisions they make have a big impact. They can decide whether criminal charges are brought to court, which cases are dismissed or diverted from court, and — to some extent — the sanctions that people convicted of crimes will face.

Jasper Wu was killed by a stray bullet while sleeping in his car seat as his mother drove down I-880 on November 6, 2021. Three men have been charged in his death but haven't been sentenced.
