I don't know where this myth came from but its not true at all... Being slightly smarter then the girl your talking with is always a plus. Women also don't like being with a guy she views as dumber or less educated then her. Take any girl who grew up in a white collar household and she will pick a smart NT guy over a NT 100 IQ plumber every time (even if the plumber ironically makes more money).

Yeah it also depends on severity. Steve Jobs was aspie but no one would say he was not charismatic. So autistic is a broad word. Some people can get around it and just need to work on their social skills. Some people there is no hope the only hope they have is to get good at coding and live off that because they are just inherently unlikable in every other regard.

A guy in my CS class would just blurt out random answers to questions the professor didn't even want answered everyone hated the guy he also never showered. Someone like that not sure if there is much hope for them he seemed smart but no amount of intelligence would justify that. Hopefully he just gets a good job and his skills make up for being unlikable.
