Never someone they consider an equal, if they consider you an equal that's as good as you being gay in their eyes. Women settle for men below them because if they can't be hypergamous they cope with dominating and emasculating beta men and treating him like her submissive beta, they get a sense of groundedness and power from this. In some ways it's a bit of a maternal thing. And women ideally would like to date men above them for obvious reasons. If you are an equal though they will either treat you like a sister or she will be repulsed by you and see you as competition
