This topic has been covered a few times however I decided to write an essay to explain it even to retard blue pillers.
First let me begin this by saying cheating is a deplorable act no matter who commits it however there are a few factors that distinguish the severity of each genders choice both to engage in such behaviour and what it does to their mental state.However before I say why I shall cover some common counter arguments:
First men and women are the same... I don’t even need to debunk this look at the effects of hormones on the brain and not only that but the connections and more importantly their directions across the brain.
Secondly it is harder for men to cheat-
Yes this is a true statement however it does not negate the facts which is shall disclose later. If I refer to this argument I shall mention it via (as stated earlier etc).
Now I shall list the studies I am going to use and how I will refer to them later on

Now men cheat for a multitude of reasons however it can all be boiled down to this, a man is not having his sexual needs met. As (1) says men’s sex drives are vastly stronger when compared to women’s meaning that even if the female is fully satisfied sexually the Male most likely will not.
And what is one of the strongest impulses in males in general? As biology dictates due to it having the role of reproducing with as many females as possible without the need to pair bond or establish emotional connections to said female allows me to say with some assurance that all the man will seek is sexual relief.
However now I will try to explain why women cheat. Women’s role in biology is to have intercourse and become pregnant and then keep that man around while they undergo said pregnancy. What does this mean? It means that emotional connections are much more important to women. Bringing me onto the point of this paragraph- women cheat due to feeling emotionally vacant. What this means is that they are more likely to cheat with the same partner as opposed to men who will cheat with different partners... inevitably leading to them becoming attached and oxytocin is released upon intercourse causing the woman to become more attached to said Male. Now you may wonder why they do not feel the same oxytocin with their current partner? This is due to diminishing returns I can explain this via going to a buffet if you eat the same food you will become full quickly however if you eat other foods you will be able to eat more similar is that to the case here.
Leading me to the crux of my argument it is more forgivable if you cheat merely for sexual relief compared to filling an emotional void.
