Women will say “muh I’m so accepting I have a gay friend and I only call him a fag only a few times a day. So I’m obviously pretty accepting of the gays”. Meanwhile every time a straight guy is sexist or homophobic, they’ll instantly call them a fag. Like Susie I’m pretty sure the guy who beat up a gay male is not a gay male himself. They’re indirectly saying that gay men are sexist and have internalized homophobia. If you said this, they would’ve been like nooo that’s not true and that’s very homophobic to say.
