Start working out now I jusy finished my GCSEs it’s extremely stressful you don’t do much and the gym really benefitted my mental and physical health during the time start the gym and settle in there get used to lifting so your not worried about all that during the GCSES. You don’t wanna leave it till after either I left it too late now my physique went from top 1% in the year from genetics to top 30% and I realised what a mistake I made as I get phsiqued mogged infront of bitches.

As in would I be better off spending my money for now to buy weights until my exams are over and then start going gym once they’re finished?

if u can comfortably afford weights then duh, gets you used to staple exercises that you'll do in an actual gym and gives you early newbie gains to keep u motivated

I meant should I buy a dumbbell set and just lift at home rather than go gym?

Yes you will you won’t revise as much as you think you will and you need to lift during your GCSEs otherwise you’ll become like so depressed and out of shape icl. They are a lot scarier than they are trust me bro I had the exact same mindset as you and halfway through gcse when I started lifting I realised I made a big mistake not doing it earlier.

Stand in the plank starting with 10 seconds per approach and 3 approaches and increase the time and approaches until the muscles hurt, the rest pales in effectiveness in comparison to this
