I was so angry to the point I didn't even remember what she said. But afterwards, I threatened to shoot up her house and kill her entire family and she eventually snitched on me of course. I would take condescension and pity any day. When they see you as a disgusting freak and get actively uncomfortable in your presence, it makes you feel inhuman, there is no worse feeling, you literally feel like you aren’t human, and they’re too scared to even tell you so you get to figure it out yourself

i understand you entirely, just the way I am being a "creep" at least puts you in a place of fear and power while pity terminally locks you out of adulthood. Maybe I'd think differently if I had the opposite reaction

Very relatable, I have to experience this every day I go in to the office (I work in a big building, there are like 500 people so I only know my own team which is all male) - it’s one of the primary factors of why I can’t stand working despite my job not actually being that bad.
