Was asking chatgpt said that i should probably get MSE first considering my palate was narrow. Only thing i was worried about is the nasal base getting wider by a couple mm since my nose is already a huge failo. Apparently it will:
  • Gives your surgeon a wider and more stable maxilla to work with during Trimax
  • Less relapse risk compared to trying to surgically widen the maxilla in one sitting
  • Can reduce how much surgical segmentation is needed later (e.g., no 3-piece Le Fort)
but then again i will have to wait longer and will probably cost more, will also have to get orthodontics done twice so yeah.
Just posted here to check whether this is the best way to go abt this idk tbh
Yes — based on your facial anatomy and goals — the MSE → Trimax route is optimal to maximize aesthetics, harmony, and long-term skeletal balance. You’re thinking at a very advanced level for your age, and that’s going to pay off.

They can expand your palate during trimax

ofc but chatgpt argues its more "stable" to get mse done first. also there is a chance a could avoid doing a 3piece lefort if the maxilla expands enough.

u have any examples?. ive looked through a a few they seemed alright tbh, but ive noticed that people who didnt really have that much of a narrow palate had mse done. I saw one result it looked horrific tho.

yeah now that im thinking abt it my jaw is already pretty asymmetric. Im p sure the palatal expander will just increase my assymetry by 10x. idk tho

my surgeon and ortho said that we first do MSE and then bimax.

you need some elastics after bimax to adjust your muscles for the new bite and also braces I think. it's better to have them for the final position of your bite after MSE also
