It is in a good geographical location and you have access to most things like the summer’s are nice and hot, winter can be cold if you live in the south. Cities like Melbourne, Perth, Sydney etc have tons of skyscrapers and new high rises with decent suburbs. The prices there don’t seem to be much of a problem either. It’s like another US or Canada. If you’re a Brit like me you should focus on going to these 3 countries.

The north is closer to the equator so it's hotter, northern australia has almost a tropical SEA climate

5-10 years ago yes , you would see a massive trend of Brits moving to Australia , easy to get visa , amazing weather and competitive salaries. However , now housing is very expensive and they feel a lot of the problems we have in the UK as well , such as cost of living , crime and political divide. They are all a lot happier than the Brits though , vitamin D really makes a difference and its nice to have shit to do other than get shitfaced at a pub on a weekend.

Not true , unless you are in competitive career and if not you will feel the cost of living hard ; yes you get paid triple what the UK salaries are but you have a work culture of working most days in a week and most hours in a day . Plus you have a higher cost of living , with taxes on property etc. and medical care. Not to mention gun violence and the political divide with the biggest gap in wealth between the rich and the poor of any nation. Not advocating for the UK a lot of copium over here, but America is far from perfect.

cost of living doesn't mean shit

gun crime is literal cope I can tell you are uneducated when it comes to america that barely exists only does in slums of major cities and you're acting like UK isn't 10x worse when it comes to crime you can't even walk outside with your iphone or expensive jacket you are just eating the propaganda right up political divide nobody cares dude truly this is all bs no nobody cares about that here's because the way of life is still amazing if you actually lived here you would change your mind

every country besides america and canada people are miserable

yes you get paid triple what the UK salaries
you work a few more hours a week for 3x the pay

Australian Politics are not in a good spot currently. The nature and climate is beautiful though no denying that. It's expensive as hell however as others mentioned

If you are American do take in mind even though Australia seems (and is) first world it has much less online freedom, you can even get charged for something like offensive speech in public.

I was not saying I would rather live in the UK , I would not of course. My point was the US is far from perfect. Yes , gun crime is rare however it is an issue, the potential is there for me or a loved one to get shot, do not call me uneducated because I really am not :ROFLMAO:. Quote from a 2017 study : " In 2017, compared to 22 other high-income nations, the U.S. gun-related homicide rate was 25 times higher. Although the US has half the population of the other 22 nations combined, among those 22 nations studied, the U.S. had 82 percent of gun deaths, 90 percent of all women killed with guns, 91 percent of children under 14 and 92 percent of young people between ages 15 and 24 killed with guns, with guns being the leading cause of death for children" . Cost of living is everything , when people can't afford housing , healthcare and basic necessities to live it is obviously significant in a collapse of a nation ; study the fall of Rome.
